About this app

Calligraphy Name Art Styles

There are the great collection of Calligraphy Name Art Styles for you!

During my primary school days, I was unable to spell. I had no problem to remember symbols but letters somehow wouldn't sit.

On the spur of the moment, the English teacher would ask us to close our text books and spell out aloud a word chosen from a previous list we wrote. When my name was called, I would gawp and say nothing.

Needless to say, I was the class delinquent and left school at the age of fifteen.

Painting portraits and country scenery was my forte and my salvation, though, deep down; I was yearning for an education.

I joined a series of night classes at the local college of art. We were thirteen students of which I was the youngest. The teacher originated from Japan and taught a technique that inspired how to write beautiful letters with a calligraphy brush.

We would place in front of us on the floor a sheet of blank paper and two small stones as weights, a two-inch calligraphy brush and a bowl of ink.

Before the lesson of painting calligraphy letters began a simple exercise was required, which helps achieve the right mindset.

For example:

• Lay on the floor.

• Inhale and exhale.

• Close the eyes and concentrate on the toes, legs, chest, arms, fingers, neck, head, neck ... back to th the feet.

• Open your eyes.

• Pick up the calligraphy brush and close your eyes again to make imaginary movements of a designated letter.

• Open your eyes and glance one more time at the chosen letter.

• Dip the brush into the ink and wipe off any excess.

• Close your eyes again, take a deep breath, and exhale while making a graceful letter movement across the paper.

During our first six weeks, of calligraphy classes we learnt how to write beautiful letters from the alphabet without looking. At random, the teacher asked me to close my eyes and name all the letters I could write.
Without ado, the alphabet rolled of my tong and without fault. Over a further six-week period, we joined letters into words and applied the same technique turning words into a sentence, and seamlessly wrote my first fraise.
I applied the same calligraphy technique to memorize dates, places, and mathematic formulas. I was later accepted as a student in a government further education program and studied English literature.
The ability to remember words resonate through writing them. Thus, it's my wish to share this amazing technique that unfolds a new exciting way to put things to memory.
