About this app

Kevin De Bruyne (Dutch pronunciation: [kɛvɪn də œbrœynə], born June 28, 1991) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for the English club Manchester City and the Belgian national team. His style of play has often led the media, coaches and colleagues to rank among the best players in Europe.

De Bruyne began his career at Genk, where he was a regular player in the 2010-11 Belgian Pro League win. In 2012, he joined the English club Chelsea, where he was used sparingly and then loaned to Werder Bremen. He signed with Wolfsburg for 18 million pounds in 2014 and in 2015 he was named Footballer of the Year in Germany. Later that year, he joined Manchester City for a club record of 54 million pounds. In three seasons with City, De Bruyne has played more than 140 games and won a Premier League title and two league cups. He played an important role in City's quest to become the first Premier League team to reach 100 points in a season in 2017-18. In addition, De Bruyne has been named Manchester City's Player of the Year twice in 2016 and 2018.

De Bruyne made his complete international debut in 2010 and has since won more than 65 caps and scored 15 goals for Belgium. He was a member of the Belgian teams that participated in the 2014 and 2018 World Cups and in Euro 2016.
