About this app

FamilyGO helps families succeed in a device-focused world.

As we all know, children love computer games and devices. But too much can lead to poor social skills, addiction, and even depression. Parents often complain about family arguments, yelling and bad attitudes associated with children spending time on devices. FamilyGO is designed to help.

Like other parental controls, FamilyGO lets you set time limits, bed time hours and immediately lock devices. But FamilyGO also helps you encourage your children to do healthy activities when they aren't on a device.

When children run out of device time, FamilyGO invites them to "play" a game to earn gold coins and buy rewards from the family store. The majority of "play" occurs with their device off while completing the challenges you have setup.

You can easily setup chores, exercises, homework, reading, giving back and other healthy activities that will appear in the child's game. FamilyGO has a vast collection of activities and activity packages that you can choose from to help keep your child interested and learning new things.

By playing FamilyGO, children complete challenges to earn gold coins and attempt to maintain balance. To be balanced, children need to complete 7 types of challenges evenly during the week. This encourages children to do all their challenges, not only the easy ones or the ones they like.

The 7 challenge types are:
* Movement - get children off the couch and in motion
* Creative - get the creative juices flowing
* Hands On - encourage children to use their hands
* Reading - increase vocabulary and language skills
* Logic - calculate and experiment
* Social - share face to face moments with others
* Giving - teach the importance of giving back

By staying balanced, children receive increasing bonuses when they graduate to a new balance level.

After earning gold coins, children can shop in the family store for things you offer as a reward for all the good things they are doing in FamilyGO. You can offer addition device time, a trip to the ice cream store, a sleep over, or whatever you think would motivate your child. FamilyGO has a vast collection of reward ideas that you can use to help motivate your child. You can even offer a weekly allowance if you think your child is ready.

FamilyGO has a special type of reward called a Big Ticket reward that introduces the concept of saving. Big Ticket rewards are higher priced rewards that appear in the family store and encourage your child to save over a period of time. Big Ticket rewards can also be used to pay back a debt over time, like a contribution towards the cost of a broken window.

With the help of FamilyGO, we hope that your family can find balance and productivity in a device focused world.

Is your family ready to "play"?
