Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Breadcrumb App on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

Tried a nock out today. Bow is sighted in of course. The extra weight made the arrow hit about 4 inches lower(expected)... Phone would not pick it up until about 15 paces away...(so you need to be close) I couldn't hear the sound it emits until 2-3 feet from the nock. Overall it did do what it was supposed to. Older people who are not tech savvy I wouldn't recommend it. But if you want some extra help with zeroing in for longer targets, this will help.

Not great, just got a breadcrumb to use from tree stand locator. It doesn't find signal until you are 2ft. from it at best. App kept searching and then would just close out mid search too. $90 for three of these was pricey but worth it if it worked, but it doesn't. Super disappointed

The apps and nocks are garbage. I can't believe I paid this much for something that barely functions. The nocks take forever to connect. They often disconnect and you can't reconnect. The map function doesnt work in the app. What a complete joke of a company. They rushed this to market and you can tell.

App will not sync with the Nock. Tried everything to get it to work. Not happy with it.

FIND IT
Using your smartphone, the Breadcrumb App can help you track your device up to 100 yards away. The in-range display lets you know when you are in close proximity of your Breadcrumb device using your phone’s built-in Bluetooth, no cell signal required. Once there, you can activate light and/or sound to help in getting to the exact spot.

SEE IT
Activate the ultra-bright LED lights to find your Breadcrumb Bluetooth Trackable Nock or Location Marker in low visibility situations. Flash it once for a quick reveal, or let it strobe to guide your search. If your search gets delayed, the computer will regulate the flash to conserve battery life.

HEAR IT
If your Breadcrumb Nock or Location Marker is hidden or out of your line of sight, you can initiate a sound beacon to help you recover it.

SHARE A LOCATION
Want to share a location with a friend? You can lend private access to each individual Breadcrumb device to guide that person to a specific location or help you find a lost arrow. You can un-share at any time.

LAST LOCATION
The Breadcrumb App runs in the background on your smartphone or tablet and automatically maps your device’s last known location. This enables you, or anyone else sharing the specific device, to start the search – even if you’re outside of Bluetooth range.

SEARCH PARTY
Need a hand in finding a lost arrow? Enlist some friends by sharing the location of that Breadcrumb Nock. Everyone’s smartphone is now on the lookout. When someone in the group comes within range, the entire team is notified.


Notes:

- The app utilizes Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with your Breadcrumb device. The maximum range is up to 100 yards.

- The app utilizes Location Services to record the last known location of your Breadcrumb device, based on your phone’s geo-location data.

- Continued use of GPS or Bluetooth running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
