For collecting ride metrics this app is decent. It needs some way to configure when to stop/start a new "trip" though. All my rides end up being classified as multiple trips because if I stop anywhere along the way for more than a couple minutes it considers that a new "trip." Route planning is downright terrible, at least in the USA. You can add your own waypoints, so it's a step above Google Maps, but that's the only praise I can give. It constantly tries to send me on busy roads with little or even no bike infrastructure. I constantly have to fight with it, putting down multiple waypoints to get routes to go along quiet streets or dedicated cycle paths, and it seems allergic to parks. I think this may be because I have a Speed Pedelec, which are restricted from using a lot of dedicated bike infrastructure in Europe, however no such regulation exists where I live so having the app enforce these rules where they don't actually exist is a pretty big problem. Luckily you can import routes from apps like Komoot or (with a few extra steps) Strava, otherwise the navigation functionality on bosch ebikes would be pretty much worthless.

There does not appear to be a way to export routes from the app (previously generated on my Nyon computer) in gpx format. You can import but not export. That's a major limitation. Otherwise, works fairly well in syncing with bike computer.

For some reason it starts a new ride each time you stop for a break longer than a few minutes. Thus my latest mountain bike ride was split into three rides. Could understand that for road cycle racing/training but it's silly for anything else. Also it shows a graph of altitude but no height gained or height list data on the ride data page.

The app in general is basic and lacking functionality. You can connect your boardcomputer, plan a route and see your history and statistics. Strange thing is that you are unable to zoom on the map when reviewing your trip. There is no option to link multiple trips together after they are splitted. The moment you take a break the route will be synced and saves as a trip. But taking a break does not mean that the trip stops. Another problem i found is that when you import a GPX route (which stupidly enough is not possible via the APP) it says that there is no route available and that it cant be imported unless you use the routes the bosch map knows. Alternatively you can use komoot which does not complain about GPX imports. But in that case you run into the issue when you try to start navigating that route the kiox starts to "recalculate route" and just changes the route to the availability from the bosch map information. When using a GPX file i use this because i cannot plot it in the bosch map, so changing the route is not what i need in that case. Keep the navigation working based on the plotted GPX coordinates All in all a lot of work needs to be done on the app before it can be considered really useful.

With Kyos navigation doesn't work at all. While at the same time Komoot the navigation works perfectly. Need solution and improvement. Again after further usage the GPS function does it record the trip.

Needs 'force sync now' option. Komoot link works. Seems to be doing a better job now that I eventually got the update: I used mobile data and it appeared to update during and after a 50 minute ride. Does not get real overall mileage, which I'm told is stored in motor. Doesn't always get GPS data.
