I love the concept. My problem is with statements like, "you're the best, smartest, whatever-est." These types of statements have at their convenience comparisons to others, which "is the their of joy," of course. As I used the app I kept translating the statements to something actually supportive. For instance, changing, "you're the greatest." To something like, "you're improving and making progress." I'd change "you're the smartest" to something like, "you're making progress, learning and growing every day. Making small improvements every day adds up to huge improvements over time." I have looked at several other apps since I uninstalled this one, so I really can't remember the exact statements in the app, but I've converted the gist of the idea. I would love this app if I could take what you've written and model my own pep talks in the app. I just love the concept of it and would use it if I could make the content of it work better for my brain. I guess the app is perfectly named. I think I'd prefer, rather than an ego boost, a self confidence or self concept boost.

I put inappropriate content in it so it makes it something different. You can't help but laugh when you read it
