This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Adoptable Pets on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.

Very happy to see it really does have local shelters. This is great

This would be a great app if: 1. It didn't take you ALL the way back to the beginning of the search list after reading the description of an animal. 2. There were filters to search for certain breeds, genders, age, color, size, etc. 3. There was a share option. There's no ability to share any pet too Facebook, texts, email, etc.

About this app

Many shelters participate in a service that helps connect animals with great homes. This app searches for animals in the US or Canada and displays information to help find your new pet or animal. Results are provided with the most current information available and may differ from actual availability so it's always best to call or visit the shelters in person when deciding on an adoption.

Begin by clicking on the search icon, entering a location and choosing a type of animal. Results are displayed for shelters in the area as well as surrounding areas. A list of nearby shelters can be found by choosing the "Shelter List" option or a map can be loaded with "Animal Shelters" by choosing the "Shelter Map" option.

All kinds of pets and domesticated animals are waiting to find a new home. From common household pets like Cats, Dogs, Birds, and Rabbits to large animals like Horses. Even farm animals like Goats, Pigs, and Cows might be available as well as furry little critters like Hamsters or exotic animals like Snakes and Iguanas.
