About this app

The Virtual Club is a digital platform that motivates users to keep active, compete in virtual races and challenges and unlock donations for charity. Over 10 different activity types are available to track alongside colleagues and compete with the Bloomberg Square Mile global corporate community to earn points on the platform, rise through the rankings and contribute to donations being unlocked for The Extra Mile charities, which address current public health issues in each race city.

HOW DOES IT WORK?
Create your profile and join your company team in your city
Connect the Apple Health app or your favourite activity tracker app to automatically record your daily exercise, earn points and climb the rankings in your city and across the world
Participate in virtual races and challenges with your colleagues and industry peers to earn prizes, bonus points and credits
Contribute to unlocking charitable donations to The Extra Mile program in each of our race cities

Because we are committed to providing you with the most inclusive experience possible, we have added new activity types dedicated to people with reduced mobility. You can now add wheelchair racing and handbike activities manually from the dashboard or by synchronizing through your favourite trackers.

App Permissions

Allows applications to open network sockets.
Allows an app to create windows using the type TYPE_APPLICATION_OVERLAY, shown on top of all other apps.
Allows an application to read from external storage.
Allows an application to manage access to documents, usually as part of a document picker.
Allows access to the vibrator.
Allows an application to write to external storage.
Required to be able to access the camera device.
Allows an application to record audio.
Allows using PowerManager WakeLocks to keep processor from sleeping or screen from dimming.
Allows applications to access information about networks.
Allows applications to access information about Wi-Fi networks.
Allows an application to receive the ACTION_BOOT_COMPLETED that is broadcast after the system finishes booting.
