Blex is the first-ever app dedicated to strengthening melanated sex, intimacy and relationships. It helps build confidence and boost wellness to enhance your sex life, even if you’ve never had a successful relationship or love life.
Black sex can be a difficult topic to explore. But, with a secure choice of coaches and a community of people who are experiencing the same things as you, you’ll find that it gets easier to talk the more you interact with your new community on the app.
Unlike in-person coaching or counseling, which on average costs $120 for a 60-minute weekly session, Blex is a subscription service, starting at only $50/session (billed monthly). All plans come with unlimited messaging. You can also change coaches or stop your subscription renewal at any time.
HOW DOES BLEX WORK?
Fill out a quick and easy survey when you get on the app and you will be matched with multiple therapists in real-time. You then get to read their background information and resume and choose the one that fits your needs best. After you are matched, you can send your therapist unlimited texts in your private chat room from anywhere, at any time. Your coach will get back to you within 24 hours or less, during their working hours.
When you sign up, we do not ask you for your full name or contact information. You may pick a nickname which will identify you in the system. When you decide to start the coaching process, we will ask you for emergency contact information which is kept safe in the system so it can be used if your coach believes that you or someone else might be in danger.
WHO ARE THE BLEX COACHES?
Our coaches are professionals who have educational experience in psychology, counseling and/or sociology. Many of our coaches have 6-months of professional sex coaching experience and/or are certified sex therapists. They have also undergone online training on how to best engage and interact with clients through digital technology, ensuring that they and you are able to make the most out of your experience.
IS THE BLEX APP SECURE?
We are committed to creating a safe space for you to have open and honest conversations with your blexCoaches. Our chat functionality is supported by a 256-bit data encrypted infrastructure that complies with all U.S. data and privacy laws. Your chat data is encrypted on our servers and blexCoaches are required to sign a confidentiality agreement before becoming a part of our community.
