The Women’s Imaging Center (WAFI) was established in 2007 as a place to focus on women’s health with radiology services, education and support. Expert diagnostic services for breast health and other health issues are the essential functions, but the actual mission is far more comprehensive.
In a warm and peaceful setting carved out in a building by the Nile River with a wonderful landscape, the center has emerged as the region’s premier radiology facility designed by and for women to advance their health.

Scope of Work
WAFI is a specialized center for mammography, fetal imaging (3D/4D fetal scan by ultrasound), DEXA bone density scan, and Ultrasound. WAFI also provides complementary services, including medical education and research.
According to our audits, we have about 16,600 visits since the establishment with an average of ~1,600 appointments per annum. This covers the breast imaging services (screening, diagnostic and consultations), fetal imaging services (2D, 3/4D ultrasound) and gynecological services (pap smears and pelvic ultrasounds).
