This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing BHN Home Security and Control on PC Windows and Mac.

Updated Aug 2017: FINALLY, the app has been upgraded and with a new UI. The app now works as it should and looks great. Took way too long to but it's for finally updated and looks good. Original review: The beauty of a mobile app is allowing you to do things remotely. The ability to view security camera remotely is key to this app for me. However since running Marshmallow (the latest standard OS release for Android) the option is broken. Bright House appears to not know how to fix this, or they do not care, as it's been months since Marshmallow release/Update and BH has not fixed their app. They also have a vertical keypad displayed that scrolls off the screen. 1 star until fixes are implemented.

They fixed everything I had issues with. Changed my rating to 5 stars. This app is awesome does everything I need it to and is very user friendly.

About time! The new update in over a year has finally been released and I have to say the app is finally usable again! The UI looks very modern now!

As of August 2017, this app is worth using again. Don't know why it took so long, but grateful for the app we finally have.

Looks nice once it signs in. The app just sits on the signing in screen and won't go any further. I had to uninstall and reinstall to get it to work.

BEWARE ever since the August update this app has been hijacking ALL network functionality on my phone. EX, when I open the app to arm or disarm my alarm, after exiting, even if I'm connected to 4g only and wifi turned off when I then try to access ANY app that requires an internet connection including chrome, games or the app store it redirects me to the my services login page as if I'm trying to connect to one of their hotspots and does not stop until I reboot my phone. I thought it may be a virus or malware at first so I factory reset my phone and installed a new SD card to be safe and then proceeded to only download this app, and guess what, the same thing happened again. After posting this I will be contacting customer support about the issue and until resolved WILL NOT be using it anymore and will only use the home keypad, yes it's a pain but I rather that than having to reboot my phone every time I use the app so I can have free access to my network capabilities.
