Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Hue Control on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

  1. Download and install LDPlayer from https://www.ldplayer.net.
  2. Drag the APK/XAPK file directly into LDPlayer.

It works but I'd like the option for the app to start when my phone powers on, otherwise I forget to launch and use the quick controls on notification panel

The interface is a bit awkward, you have to learn the jargon to know what they are talking about. There are no timers or on/off clocks. There is no way to turn a light on at sunset, let it run for 5 hours, then switch to nightlight, and off after a couple hours. This app is not much more useful than the app that comes with the HUE bridge.

I really like the quick settings option, but I can't get it to work all the time. It seem like I have to have the app open in order for it to work, which kind of defeats the purpose of a quick setting. Even then it's hit or miss.

Amazing! This is the best way of controlling the lights! Great looking Ui and extremely easy to turn on the light & change scenes, all without even unlocking the phone!

I really like the functionalities of the app and how used-friendly it is. I use the app for the lights in my living room and childs bedroom. Would def recommend.

Control Notification
Control Philips Hue lights with greater ease and speed with the smart control notification. This is available when a connection can be made with a Philips Hue Bridge and will disappear automatically when the connection is lost. Switch lights on and off, choose a color or switch on a scene, all directly from the control notification.

Scenes
Use the powerful color picker to choose from millions of colors for your lights. You can choose lights from different groups, zones and even from multiple bridges.

Multiple bridges
Hue Control lets you interact with multiple bridges at the same time. You can already create scenes that contain lights from multiple bridges, and soon you'll also be able to do that for rooms.
