Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing My Places on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

About this app

This app is a great way to store all your favorite locations. All the locations are shown as markers on the map, as well as in a list. If you click on any marker, you can get directions to that place using Google Maps (by clicking on the icon that appears in the bottom right).

Locations can be easily added in three ways. You can do a search for all nearby places, which will return up to 20 results of nearby locations. Also you can do a search by text, for example "coffee", which will return all nearby coffee shops. Search results will show photos of the location when available. Locations can also be added manually, adding a pointer to the map.

As default, the search results will be based on your current location. However, this can be changed and the search results will be based on any other chosen location.

This app is perfect for holiday or any purpose planning. You can add all the places you want to go to see on your holiday, and see their location with respect to each other. As you visit the places on your itinerary, you can then delete them.

Any location can be shared with your friends. Also the distance can be calculated between any two locations.

This app is specially designed also for use on tablets, showing the search results in a list with a map next to it.
