I realize that Google Assistant is on the "roadmap" but its now been months without any update regarding how close they are to releasing this function (I've emailed, asked to join the beta program as I am a developer myself and can provide proper bug reports, all with ZERO responses). The smart home tie-in was one of the major reasons my wife and I upgraded to the v3. Bedjet - When is an estimated release date for this feature? I asked this during the Kickstarter and was told May...

Cannot use the app because it says I am not connected to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi network, even though I am. Edit - The app randomly started working now. However it only allows me to connect the Bed Jet to the Wi-Fi. I thought it would be a remote that allowed me to control my Bed Jet from my phone.

I was unable to connect to my wifi network at first and I thought it was due to being a 5 Ghz network. I tried the hotspot workaround, but it didn't work. I then changed my wifi password to a shorter length and that fixed the connection issue. Once the firmware updated I reverted my wifi password, re-ran the app, and everything is still working.

Cannot get my phone passed the first screen of the app to connect to the BJ. I'm 100% on the right network. I restarted my phone, uninstalled/installed the app, reset my router, etc... Two days with the BJ and am still not able to use it. *Update* So my mistake and error was I had to have my location settings on. After I turned it on, I easily connected. With that being said, I reached out to the BJ team for further help (before I figured out the solution) and they went about one week without responding to me. So for that, I'll go from 1 star to 3 stars.

You CAN bypass the firmware update and start it up, but this app is currently useless for actually doing the process. There is some weird gating thing in how it checks for WiFi. I disabled my 5GHz radio on my router, got rid of the spaces in my SSID, restarted the phone, Bedjet, and router, and it still hates me. I wonder how they tested it, cause there's clearly some "edge" cases they missed. Or they just got their WiFi chips from 2003.

It works with a workaround. I have a network where my 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks share the same name. The bedjet would not connect to this. I had an old network extender ($20) that operates only on 2.4ghz that I hooked up. I connected to that network just to update the firmware. I understand I shouldn't have to do this, but it did work.
