About this app

Anaesmon is an anesthetic software available both in web and app. Our web service will be found at anaesmon.bdemr.com. The app is slightly shorter version from the web. The only missing part is graph. This app is designed to reach all anesthetists in both developed and developing countries and improve record keeping.

There is a provision to add organization which means the data input from the user can be reviewed and audited by the organization added to his/her data. For example if the World Federation of Society of Anaesthesiologist is added as one of the organizations, the admin with credentials for WFSA can audit data easily. Same goes to the anaesthetic societies or any private organization.

A detailed help about how to navigate and use the application can be found as help file (very shortly). A video tutorial is/will be available on Youtube channel named BDEMR.

Anaesmon has separate features that can be used separately or all features together. Components are preoperative assessment, progress report, Operation (anaesthesia) notes, Operation (Surgery) notes (these part is designed for Surgeons and can be used by them as well. Please encourage your surgical colleagues to explore it. Some data from the operation anaesthesia note are autopopulated into this note making it easier and less time consuming for the surgeon), Postoperative order, and critical incident reporting, billing, invoice creating, collecting NSQIP data and searching and auditing data.

Preoperative assessment is subdivided into history, examination, investigation, discussion and optimization. These features are self-explanatory. Though this is called the preoperative assessment a detailed history taking is possible for any speciality.

Operation Note (anaesthesia) includes information, fluid balance, timeline, anaesthesia details.

Information includes patient, hospital and personnel present in the operation room. Fluid balance includes input ant output and auto-calculate third space loss and total fluid deficit.

Timing includes timing of each event.

Timeline show real time measurement input. It can also be used to enter any parameter desired by anaesthesiologist or other specialist. Example if neurological monitoring is ensued, GCS or ICP or any other parameters can be added and entered giving rise to visible trend. This feature can be used by any speciality, at any hospital or private practice setting. Another example is an obstetrician doing vaginal examination in labour. As it can be customized, so the potential for being used for any speciality is huge. It can also serve as the medical record for inpatients and in ICU.

Anaesthesia details includes description of anaesthesia technique. Save it as templates. These templates can be used to shorten data entry time.

Operation note (surgery) is for surgical speciality.
Postoperative order can by customized and can be used by anaesthesiologist and any surgical speciality
Critical incident reporting can be used to create personal, institutional, organizational or national database.
Our features will be updated shortly and also on regular basis. Please keep an eye on it for free future updates.
