This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing FGC Next Train on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

This app is free but given all its practical features I would pay for it! If you are using public transportation as your main resource to move around in Barcelona and surroundings this app is perfect! Love how unifies several functionalities into a single app. Great for students but also very interesting to get to the movie theater just in time.

This app lets you know very easily when the next or last FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat de Catalunya) train departs at a glance!

Main features:
⚫ OFFLINE queries, without ads or spyware.
⚫ Fast queries to check very easily when the first fitting to your journey train departs.
⚫ Only has FGC timetables: Valles, Llobregat, Lleida and cog railways.
⚫ Extras: Movie billboards, Diputació de Barcelona public libraries, metro and tram networks.

You can define your favourite train stations so you will know the schedule for the next or last trains apt four your route just opening the app.

The app is very easy to use, and you will see the FGC train schedules with "zero interactions".
For instance, you can know when the last night train service departs while you are walking to the nearest station!

This app does not require an Internet connection to query the train schedules, it does not tracks you and it does not contains advertisements.
The Internet access is only needed to download the Google Maps and to compute the accurate geo-localization using the Google API.

The train schedules have been retrieved from the Generalitat de Catalunya's open data project.
