La app calcula la presion arterial de dioxido de carbono (pCO2) tomando como dato el bicarbonato (HCO3)
El resultado sirve para saber el tipo de acidosis o alcalosis que el paciente tiene.

1) Si la PCO2 de la gasometría es menor a la PCO2 esperada o calculada, se diagnostica alcalosis respiratoria agregada.

2) Si la PCO2 de la gasometría es mayor a la PCO2 esperada o calculada, se diagnostica acidosis respiratoria agregada.

3) Si la PCO2 de la gasometría es igual a la PCO2 esperada o calculada, se diagnostica acidosis metabólica pura.
