Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing TVLauncher on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. Not bad but I cannot find the Settings icon. There are two Settings Icons in Apps. One that takes you to configure sound, video, language etc.. and the other which is the More Settings. I cannot find the icon which contains the configuration to sound, video, language. too bad. i was going to purchase this Launcher.

Quite nice after migrating from ATV, app category rules! But i miss some things important or nice to have: - Connection status icon (wifi/cable) - Select accent color for app then add it - Weather widget - Big apps icons - you have a lot of free space on tiles! Hope you add this in next versions.

I was hopping I had found a good replacement launcher for my android TV with this TVLauncher, all works great apart from not being able to select a wallpaper. Click settings and then turn wallpaper on then select wallpaper and I can see a screen where a list of wallpapers should be but nothing is showing that can be selected. Have emailed the dev but not had a reply.

This is the best TV launcher I have used, however on bootup of the TV android box, TV launcher app fails to respond (Waiting/close option) and takes long before working.Once it is running , works well.

It's definitely better than the standard Android home screen. However, I am unable to create custom tiles for my apps, which is one of the main reasons I decided to use this app, and even paid to Remove Adds. I don't download images, I create my own. Everytime I try to change the tile, it says "Couldn't save image". I tried saving my tile in different ways, but am unable to find one that saves. I've tried searching for what format the tile needs to be, but am unable to find any information. Looks like I'm going to switch to another app. :(

Almost perfect, may I suggest? When selecting apps for "Favorites" for example, can we have just a list, that highlights each app selected for that category? Format now is too cluttered & confusing, no way to know which ones we've already selected. A list is much simpler, can make selections as we go down the list. To review them, go back up, checking apps highlighted, so none missed. Idea is from Nova launcher's implementing apps to folders, please see their version it works well. Thank you

About this app

TVLauncher 3 is a custom launcher made from scratch for the big screen. The launcher is built for navigation with a remote or controller.

You can create and share tiles between users. You can also have multiple sections to organise your different types of apps.

This is the first official update in a few years. I'm developing this application on the side of my studies, so I don't have the resources that other companies do. I hope you enjoy this new version. Please follow the project at the community G+ site: https://plus.google.com/communities/105478564940183531371 and sign up for the beta there if you enjoy frequent updates and new features.

The app has been in beta for a few months, but there might still be some bugs in the app. I will fix the potential new bugs as fast as possible. I'm releasing it now, since its better than what was on play store already.

The app has 2 in-app products. One is to remove ads, and the second is a completely optional payment to support me as a developer
