I purchased Basic Plan but neither I recieve any call nor I can call someone. The app just disconnects the call after 1 second. No customer support, no response to my emails. I wonder if the owner of the app is still alive?

Useless app, it does not work! When receiving incoming call, other party can not hear what I am saying (like microphone on on my phone is turned off) eventhough all permissions and settings are ok. Contacted support, they could not explain what's wrong and then stopped to respond ...

Very useful, but 1) Not stable. Sometime you cannot hear what people are saying 2) When you receive a call via AVO, during your call on a regular cellular line, the application sometime break your call. This is a very bad bug. Another bug in the same situation is that if you accept AVO call during your other conversation, you will find that you conference in your AVO call - something that should never happened. It is a bad default, but capability conference between app and a regular call is absolutely great 3) Terrible behavior for dual SIM users: each time you moving between countries (I crossed Atlantic 300 times) you need uninstall and install app. Bottom line: i am using it every day, but the app is not mature Since i was CEO of several software companies, it is quite a precise definition: useful, interesting, but not matured

Truly a Great App with Good Support!! This is the App you must have if you are travelling and don't want to pay roaming charge for receiving your calls from home. Twice I thought, I had problem with the App, which were found to be of my own making & it was nothing wrong with the App. What impressed me most, was a Good & Efficient support that AVO gave me. They contacted me shortly after I reported the problems & helped me to sort them out. I am now using the App for months without any issue.

Continue using your mobile number while traveling even if roaming is disabled or you have a different SIM card in your phone.

All you need is Internet connection through either Wi-Fi or 3G with a local SIM card.

When abroad, all your incoming calls will be received in the app, and you won’t miss a single call.

In addition, AVO is a truly cheap international connection, starting at $0.02 per minute of talk!

AVO is convenient to use because, after buying a local SIM card or connecting to the Internet, you can be reached at your usual number while paying dozens of times less for the calls.

AVO receives all calls from both mobile phones and landlines – the caller doesn’t need to have Internet connection in order to call you.

AVO will be suitable for those who prefer using free Wi-Fi in hotels or cafes. Once you get online, you will instantly receive notifications about missed calls so you can call the people back.

1) You install AVO app and register your cell phone number
2) Once abroad you get internet access - 3G or Wi-Fi

What if I insert a foreign sim-card?

When you have 3G/Wi-Fi access, your mobile number remains accessible.

What if I get an incoming call when I have no Wi-Fi / 3G?

Once you get internet access, you receive a missed call notification within 3 minutes. And you can call back.

How much do I pay?

Incoming calls via AVO are free. Outgoing calls to US cost $0,01 - $0,04 depending on the preferred tariff. You select the tariff using in-app purchases.
