Unable to update firmware from this site . It is a very unsatisfactory application and company responses are all demeaning to recent posts . They act as if nothing is wrong except Firmware updates are needed. This is a catch 22. With no viable solution.

Update: 1 year later, new phone, same results. The app doesn't recognize the device. Total waste of money. Informed to update the firmware. How would one access that if the app doesn't recognize the device.

It quit working. Only lasted 60 days. It keeps trying to connect. Follow directions for days. Spent hours tring to follow support instructions. Very frustrating. I'm done, No more GE devices for me. Uninstalling app for Good. Horrible experience. App stuck on locating the device. No option to update firmware.

This truly stinks for van app.. I've been messing with trying to get a device hooked up to it for a few hours now.. and I'm no farther along then when I started...😣☹️☹️ ABSOLUTELY horrible .... It shouldn't be this hard to figure these things out... Went through the registration process.. Finally got to the main page I guess you would call it, since it's a web page, not a stand alone app... The written instructions don't help one bit..

**Every** time I open this app I have to close it and then open it again. Not sometimes; every time. Sort yourselves out.

Nothing in this app is intuitive. User has to keep trying things to see how it works.

About this app

The Avi-on Home app enables customers of GE-branded Bluetooth devices to operate in-wall and plug-in switches using their smartphone. Avi-on no longer has a contractual relationship with the manufacturer, Jasco Products, or any duty to support GE by Jasco Products, and these products are no longer being sold. Avi-on continues to support these devices solely as a courtesy to existing users.
Avi-on Home is a fully-secured system that requires both login and location services. Login ensures that no one else can operate your lights. Location enables you to use sunrise and sunset with your schedules. Once programmed locally, the schedules will operate without the Internet or your phone nearby.
To control GE-branded devices via wi-fi, an Avi-on Remote Access Bridge is required. All schedules and settings are saved on a Bluetooth chip inside each device. Avi-on enables many users to control many devices through a single account. Your account and settings are saved in the Avi-on cloud, providing instant back-up. If you want wi-fi access, 24/7 clock synchronization, and/or Alexa compatibility, install an optional Avi-on Remote Access Bridge (RAB).
