This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing VFR-NO Ads/Downloads GPS on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

Great VFR app for flying. Airport identifiers are not correct, so that can be confusing -1 star. Otherwise great app.

Update: it works great now. Developer is quick to update any problems that you may have with your device. 5 stars! The app was neat! But right now, it's not working at all. Crashes every time I try and open it. Uninstalled, reinstalled, restarted device, etc. Crashes immediately on startup.

Easy to use. Easy to start. Power up the APP. The top of the phone will give you magnetic heading in degrees. This can used to set the gyroscopic direction finder.

Attach the phone to the yoke or dashboard with a commercial holder or velcro.

After a GPS is locked the VFR will show you the Magnetic deviation from True North at your current Lat/Lon location.

Go to the PANEL mode to see the basic digital instruments. Pressing any of the Type Unit Headings will scroll to different units. For example, switching from Feet to Meters altitude.
