There're basic navigation skills that everyone should know. Pair this skills set with your current location and you are never lost. This app does exactly that with no unnecessary thrills for devepers to justify demanding an annual fee to use. It layers free downloadable topo maps with your geo-location while your mobile device is in the "airplane" mode to extend the life of your battery. No need for real time tracker or heading or some dude's opinions on a point-of-interest ahead. KISS!

This app is too good. Just pay $12 once and you get to download as many maps as you want to use offline. You can import multiple different types of files, I upload my gpx files, to add routes. You can also make your own routes, add waypoints, print maps, etc etc. It's perfect for offline navigation while hiking. There are so many features and so many maps. I don't have it all figured out yet. The only issue I've had is that when you download maps at a higher zoom it often fails.

Doing and living using maps in the military was my world. Not to mention my civilian world escapades. I will say this is absolutely the best map app hands down. All the different types of maps, the layers and the different functions this app is capable of accomplishing in one place is unheard of. After I thoroughly went through it I purchased it without reservation.

I have tried all the others. This is the easiest to use on and offline, onetime fee not yearly, has multiple types of maps. I have been off-roading for 40 years. Simply the best!

After buying Pro, topo maps available. Save and export waypoints, tracks, routes as GPX & saved to Android, hard to find where it's saved. Recording track shows GREEN, if text states 'RECORDING' explicitly; would be more clear. Export JPG of screen & track on it but hard to find where the App saves it without any option to navigate to save in my preference folder. Impossible to share tracks or waypoints with other users or monetize my waypoints.Pic added only when waypoint created.

I use this almost everyday to keep track of how far I hike. I have been using for at least the last 2 years and love it. Absolutly no problems! Works in the car too!
