Zelela is application software which serves as a digital menu for Cafeterias and mid-scale restaurants (quick service). Using a QR-code scanner on the app, each restaurant customer can access the particular restaurant’s menu items easily. Zelela’s user-friendly interfaces are designed to create efficient service inside restaurants. They bring restaurants’ menu to their customers’ fingertips. Customers can also leave feedback to the restaurants on the app.

While providing speedy service during a rush hour, keeping up service quality can be a headache at times. Continually maintaining equal treatment for every customer is very essential for all food and beverage service providers (Restaurants). However, because of the usual order taking techniques, restaurants serve less number of customers. As a result, they earn less money than they could. Secondly, nothing would discomfort customers than slow and uneven service does which also brings negative customer relation to a restaurant.

Zelela maximizes revenue and add customer satisfaction by providing technology based speedy order taking method. Quick service means extra room to serve more customers; and via Zelela’s suggestive selling technique, restaurants get chance to sell more of their services. Finally, Zelela aims to bring about good customer relation by letting customers share their thoughts on the feedback feature.
Even though Zelela is made suitable for every age group, its primary targets are the young generation in Addis Ababa city. The Young age groups are the frequent customers of mid-scale restaurants and since Zelela is applicable in those restaurants, it targets the majority population as well as the majority food and beverage service providers.
