Almost a great app: However it still doesn't solve the issue of having to ask my mates what they got. If you could add people to the bill split so they can select themselves what they bought - I would then give this 5 stars

Finally found an app that can split a bill by items instead of just dividing the total cost by the number of people. OCR worked great on a clearly printed receipt and almost perfectly on a less clear receipt. But editing entries is easy. I had to remove the 'Tax' item, and enter the value after the tip percentage, but the whole process is so much faster and smoother than doing a bunch of math at a restaurant.

I wanted something that could photograph a supermarket receipt and allow me to allocate the items to different people. This did exactly that and read a 30 item receipt adequately. It didn't scan multi-line entries, but it was good enough for me. It just scanned the last line of multi line entries. Nice work! EDIT: Thanks for the reply. I understand the challenges. Perhaps an option is to have a button to merge it with the line above or below. That may be too much work for some people tho.

This is one of those apps I love: it serves a single, simple function but it does it really well and in so doing solves a common problem, quickly, effectively and elegantly. I downloaded this app just a couple of days ago as we've come away on a family holiday with three family groups and somehow I was lumbered with splitting all our restaurant bills. It was a nightmare until I found Snap & Split, but now it is so quick and easy, it's a doddle and I really dont mind doing it. A real life saver.

Buggy - the total figure keeps showing crazy values several times larger than the bill total. When tapping people to toggle them on and off the app hung on me. Even though there's a list of the bills you've scanned, tapping on them just shows an ad for the pro version. The OCR part of the app works reasonably well though, so the app has potential.

Best app for split bills. The OCR works very well. When I had some problems, I received support very quickly.
