Indian Society of Gastroenterology – Telangana Chapter

Indian Society of Gastroenterology, Telangana Chapter (ISGTS) was established in the year 2014 under the bigger umbrella of nationwide Indian Society of Gastroenterolog. ISGTS was established with the objective of progressing and sharing the knowledge of Gastroenterology, support and promotion within the gastroenterologists in Telangana state.

The ISGTS has over 200 life members which conducts a monthly GUT Club meeting in Hyderabad inviting the major Gastroenterologists for few critical case-studies related to gastroenterological procedures and surgeries. Moreover, many young emerging gastroenterologists present their research work and connotation of the research outcome in this monthly platform.
ISGTS honours its members with various awards and accolades on regular basis. ISGTS have prioritized certain areas for state and country specific research and have formed task forces for diseases such as inflammatory bowel disease, gastroesophageal reflux disease, irritable bowel syndrome and upper gastrointestinal bleeding. ISGTS under ISG-India has also formulated many national guidelines including Ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease. This Society has 15 State Chapters. This State chapter also organizes their scientific meetings. ISG Publishes the Indian Journal of Gastroenterology.

ISGTS is governed by the key members of ISGTS and its day to day decisions are taken by the Governing Council of ISGTS.
