About this app

Do you think fractals are cool, but don't really understand what they are?

Newt: Fractal Explorer demystifies them by helping you create your own.

The fractals you create using Newt are based on Sir Isaac Newton's method for finding the roots of polynomials. If you know what that means, GREAT!!! Otherwise, you'll learn when you use this app!

Newt features:

* Panning of the fractal allowing you to explore the fractal from different viewpoints

* Zooming of the fractal allowing you to discover awesome looking images and learn about properties of fractals like self-similarity

* A fractal library that lets you save your fractal once you've found the perfect pan and zoom

* The ability to design your own fractals; you can change the number and placement of the roots creating different appearances

* Sixteen awesome colour palettes

* Information about fractals including links to blog posts
