useful and educational it had a lot of good information but we missed things because it took sometime to listen to each. I wish there was a way to give you a heads up on certain spots that would be good to check out with a bit of time to make that decision since turning around isn't always an option on that road. The descriptions were great. I am glad there was an option to turn off the music option. not sure its worth 5.99 but it was helpful and useful.

The app really enhanced our trip to Lake Tahoe, this time. We've been up there many times before, but it was a treat for the drives to be filled in with the fascinating stories and history of the area. Darin has a sweet, gentle voice that makes the program not only interesting but warm and inviting. The music tracks were also a delightfully nice touch. I presume they are of local artists in the area. The major problem with the app, which is the reason I dropped one star, is the fact that it pauses the audio as the phone goes to sleep. Someone in the car had to keep the program alive by touching the screen every once in a while. Tough for solitary drivers. Suggestions: 1) We sometimes come to Tahoe just to stay in one place and not do much driving, but it take us 4 hours to get up there. I'd like to see a mode that just goes through the audio clips in series for our drive up to Tahoe. 2) Add more science to the program: Geology of the area and its formation, wildlife in and around the lake, invasive species, flora and fauna, regional microbiology, unique environmental conditions and weather patterns, impact to the Delta and rest of California/Nevada.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY. Not worth it , it never tells you directions or turn by turn navigation, the music sucks, its boring and plain annoying, the app doesn't keep the phone awake, if the screens shuts off, you're screwed, because it doesn't tell you directions, you have to keep looking at the phone while driving just to keep the screen on and looking at the map for directions,you better off by doing what I did, I went on YouTube and saw things to look and do while in lake Tahoe and was free

My family got a kick listening to this app as we drove around lake Tahoe. The narration and stories were great and filled with really interesting history and information. The music was fun too!

Excellent app with great info for a tour around the lake. Wife and I had been exploring Tahoe for almost a week when we decided to try the app. We'd been to Thunderbird Lodge, the science center, and more, yet the app still offered lots of great, new info for us. It can be done in a simple couple hour tour of the lake, but we broke it up into a full day trip, stopping to enjoy some of the places it pointed out as well as doing some activities in places we passed. The GPS based auto play worked great, but it did seem to be just a bit behind on a couple points, telling us about things to see or places to turn off or go after we had already passed them.
