About this app

Danish Festival began in 1965 when Mrs. Dorothy Oliver suggested that a day be set aside to honor the Danish heritage that the city of Greenville enjoys. Today there are 22 Board of Directors, one full time staff member, over 35 committees and hundreds of volunteers that are responsible for developing and presenting the festival which draws crowds of over 80,000.

The Danish Festival App is a great tool to for planning your visit or taking you step by step through the festival once you’ve arrived. Browse through our events for a complete schedule of days, times and locations. You won’t want to miss a thing so grab your family and friends and join us for a celebration worthy of Danish Vikings. Shop, eat, dance and enjoy all things Danish including a traditional aebleskiver for a true Danish treat.
