About this app

The “National Coaches Day” awards program, was created in 2014 by NFP Sports and other key industry sports leaders to ensure coaches around the country receive recognition for the important roles they play in their communities and in the lives of athletes.

Inspired by Richard Nixon’s Presidential Proclamation 4157 – the official document that named October 6, 1972 “National Coaches Day,” -these industry leaders created an annual “National Coaches Day” awards program that honors the accomplishments of exceptional coaches and culminates in a national celebration and awards ceremony on October 6 – “National Coaches Day.”
