Sadly this app has simply been just cutting off while listening. Once it goes off, you have to keep going right out of the app & go back in & sometimes even then the live streaming doesn't work. Have to audio stream via website. Sound via audio streaming on website is very soft. This problem needs to be fixed.

I haven't tried all the features but I jus wna say that although you follow the 13 line quran, it is not in sync with the original 13 line quran.. it's like 2 pages ahead... So if I read in my quran and come to use the app..its different.

About this app

Radio Alansaar aims to be the voice of the Muslim community in and around Durban, inspiring and empowering the Ummah with quality programming.

With most of the media being controlled and influenced by non-Muslim organizations, it was only a matter of time before a group of Muslim visionaries who had founded the Al Ansaar Foundation back in 1994 began toying with the concept of Islamic community radio. The public needed a radio station that would educate, uplift and ultimately unite the Muslim community.

Initially, Radio Al Ansaar operated as an annual radio station, broadcasting for only 45 days during the period surrounding Ramadaan, the Muslim holy month of fasting.

The Al Ansaar Foundation worked tirelessly to secure permanent broadcasting rights and in August 2012, the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa (ICASA) finally awarded the Al Ansaar Foundation a 5-year renewable license to broadcast 24/7 on the 90.4fm bandwidth, an achievement for the Muslim community of South Africa. During June 2014, ICASA had awarded the Al Ansaar Foundation a further license to broadcast in Pietermaritzburg on the 105.6fm bandwidth.
