About this app

PARI-p is a real-time, live, map connecting families who have experienced a miscarriage, stillbirth or the death of an infant, to much needed resources, organizations and peer support. Using your phone location you can easily see hospitals, groups and peers available to companion you in your area. Each peer in your area will show on your map. You will be able to read a brief bio, a summary of their connection to the community and the ways they are
available to communicate. All peer communication will be run through a third party service so your personal details will never be shared with anyone. Each participating peer will have cleared a background check and gone through a 3 hour online
workshop focusing on how to best support a bereaved family.

PARI-p can also locate area support organizations and hospitals who have been identified as a compassionate care institution. Organizations will be screened and provide a history of their accomplishments as well as their mission statement, service area, hours of operation and contact information. Hospitals will provide testimonials highlighting their exemplary care of bereaved families as well as the availability of support tools, specially trained bereavement staff and putting the families needs above all else.
