About this app

Based on my historical interest, the history.travel website and app has been created with over 20,000 historic sites throughout Europe, which are constantly being expanded and modified.

Visit casteles and palaces, city fortifications, settlements, towers or monasteries, divided into nations from prehistoric to modern times. Wine, dine, or stay overnight, in a castle, take a visit to the museum or a building of the Order of the Templar Knights, St. John, the Teutonic Order, Santiago or Calarava.

With a click, create a PDF travel report based on your personal trip including distance to site, copy to a satnav or choose the individual locations via the app and be guided via GPS.

The holidays are booked - Plan your own trips and visit places of historic interest. Creating your trips on your PC gives more control over your itinerary these can then be retrieved in the trip section of the app - alternatively, you can update or modify your trips directly in the app.

The system also offers travel templates as a base which include hotels that can be accessed directly. Add your own waypoints to get directions to unsaved locations. Share your journey with other users and store it in the templates- and use the forum to exchange information and suggestions with others that have a keen interest in history!
