Rental only. Maps unavailable when subscription stops. Why should I have to continuing paying to see the same map of the local area, albeit with minor changes, year after year, decade after decade? EDIT: And like the record industry, makes you buy the product again and again, just on different media. No one contributes to those industries to keep them in business. And Ordnance Survey maps have already been funded by the tax payer. The supplier only defines price, the customer defines value.

Downloaded as I have a stack of maps i bought on disc from Anquet only to discover they dont support those maps anymore. Anquets FAQ just had a sniffy position that they think purchasers of the maps had "conditioned themselves to believe the maps would continue to work". Damn right purchasers do, Anquet essentially sold maps printed in disappearing ink. Just go direct to Ordenance Survey, you get a better quality basemap out of the box and get a paper copy to go with the digital.

As one who hates technology, I was so impressed by how easy OMN was to install and use. It was quick to move to new locations and on the PC it was easy to accurately plot a route. As with all GPS systems the mapping viewed on the phone is limited by screen size. A full OS paper map is still essential for a good walk.

Great easy to use app. I love the way I can use the maps from my subscription on my PC as well at no extra cost.
