About this app

BonnetRouge is a Buhlmann & gradient-factor-based dive planner computing the maximal bottom time of a dive and run-time based on user inputs.

Dive-planners usually compute your run-time and gas consumption, based on the dive profile and bottom time that you feed it with.

BonnetRouge rather asks you to specify your full material (tanks/pressure/reserve), your RMV, and that of your dive buddy, and your dive profile (max depth, ascent/descent velocities, max total dive time, ...). It then computes how long you can stay at the bottom, or at which bottom-mix gas pressure you must start your ascent, so as to fit the max total dive time, gas reserve and other constraints you've specified.

In short : it enables you to adjust your dive plan to your dive material, and not the other way around.

BonnetRouge also displays your dive's runtime. You can display the leading compartment's pressure graph. This graph shows you, throughout your ascent, how the leading compartment's pressure decreases at each dive stop. Note : in order to simplify the display, at each stop, it is the same compartment that is followed through. It's possible that another compartment became the leading compartment. But it is the compartment that was leading compartment at the start of the stop whose pressure is displayed until the stop is finished.

For now, it only works for square dive profiles. It supports Trimix, Nitrox&O2 decompression.

Repetitives dives are supported :
- Simulate a first dive and save it;
- Reload this dive as input for your next simulation;
- Simulate a surface break (dive depth = 0m, for the duration that you specify) - BonnetRouge will recompute your He&N2 pressure matrices;
- Save the result;
- Reload this result as input for your next dive and plan your successive dive.

BonnetRouge is meant to be used in an educational environment only. It has been designed to help you better understand, through the different simulations that you can run, the effect of gradient-factors, gas reserves, RMV, ... on your dive.
