About this app

You are doing sport in isolated places and asking youself : what would happen if I would fall there ? Will somebody come and rescue me ?
You are doing mountain bike in the forest, you fall or are sick and become unconscious : who will come and rescue you ? You are skiing or snowboarding and fall in an isolated place and then you cannot move or you are inconscious : who will find you and rescue you in that akward place ?

The principle is to choose a trusted person who will receive an alert text on his/her phone that includes you position on google map. This text is sent by your phone to the phone of the trusted person after a long inactivity period. After the SMS being sent; you phone will also call the trusted person so that h/she can listen to ambiant sounds and also talk to you. It is also possible to make you phone to react if the trusted person send also an SMS (like confirming that the trusted person well received the alert, make your phone a lound sound in order to locate you.

Finally, there is also a SMS locator function that will allow the trusted person to locate you (after the monitoring is started) by sending a SMS to your phone with a pre defined and shared code. You phone will then send the trusted person a text with your location.

Why SMS and not more sophisticated media ? Texting is far more robus and available than data connection (internet). You increase the probability to send a text in the middle of the forest or on an isolated ski slope than sending an email...

All data of this application (phone number, code, ...) is stored in the phone and is never communicated to a server.

This application is not an homologated security system.
The developper cannot be dimmed responsible in case of malfuntionning or misuse of the application.
