Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Tow Waiter on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

About this app

The Tow Waiter Mobile App has been created to get a tow truck to you the motorist, faster. We also want to help Tow companies stay loaded when on call, not having to drive from one side of town to the other without a load.

How the App works: when the Motorist is in need of a tow truck they will use their Tow Waiter App on their phone and chose from a list of tow trucks based on distance from their breakdown location.
So let's say out of 10 tow trucks that have their Tow Waiter App set as Available, the motorist will send a ping and receive a quote and ETA within mins from a Tow truck driver. The quote and ETA is based on breakdown location, tow destination and vehicle description.
Once the motorist accepts the price and ETA the driver will send a message that they are on their way with an ETA.
The motorist can watch the tow truck using GPS to show how far away the tow truck is and count down the minutes for arrival through the Tow Waiter App. Also the app has a picture of the tow truck driver so the motorist has a physical description of who they are waiting on to arrive.
Once the tow truck arrives, picks up the vehicle and drops it off, the motorist will pay the tow truck driver in whatever payment form the Towing Company accepts. After the call is complete the motorist and the driver will rate each other using a star system.
