The idea is really good. The problem is whether it will connect to the charging point seems very hit and miss. So far I've had one which connected perfectly. One that connected after ten minutes of trying. And one that refused to connect entirely and so I had to pay the higher PAYG rate. As the chargers have touch screens I don't know why they didn't let you enter your details into the charger rather than the other way round, at least as a second method. Hopefully will improve.

Haven't been able to charge my car since April from local BP pulse charging point. I check the app to see if charger is available, it shows one spot available. When I look out my window both spots are available, so app not updating correctly. Won't connect to car at final stage when using the app to start charge. Hit and miss and cannot rely on it. I've even had times when it seemed like it's charging and all good to see 'an error has occurred message after removing cables with no charge.

The app is a nice idea, but the map doesn't seem to show any charging points. If the developer's can get the map working it would be much more useful. I also tried adding a point using the serial number - it wasn't recognised. I suspect the buyout of Polar has led to some errors in asset management. Edit: The updated map is much better now. Sadly not 5* as you're still missing some of your own charging points though!

Hopeless app and service. Many chargers won't recognise the car as plugged in which require a reboot/ service call (which normally takes 30 mins of waiting) . Top ups leave your bank account then don't show in the apps credit. This also means you can't charge which probably means you can't get home. Told to delete the app and reinstall which doesn't work. Not normally one to complain but this is woeful service. If this is the green future then we're all ******.

App is pants! Good layout but the app takes ages to respond when you try and click on any part of the app. Also was at a charge point with three outlets and a user hooked up to her car and wouldn't let me hook mine up while the other was charging so 2 car parking places 3 speeds of charge and wouldn't accept my fob to charge. Had to wait 45 mins before I could charge. Not a good start for my first BP charge and I thought pod-point were poor. Seems we are all beta users for a frail network.

Update 2: Happy to report that the app worked flawlessly. Initial problem was explained as a communications issue with the charger now fixed. Can't check myself as I'm not in the area, but hope it's sorted. +2*. Just the refund to come through now. Update 1: +1*. Very good customer support via email. Awaiting refund and opportunity to use updated app before more stars. Initial review: App froze saying "page was ICE'd". Charging point crashed (red cross) & cable locked into car.
