Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing GRTC on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.
  4. Wait a few seconds for the installation to complete. Once done, the installed app will appear on the BlueStacks home screen. Click its icon to start using the application.

Using LDPlayer

I'm so happy they finally fixed the bug where Android users couldn't autofill their destination (it caused a lot of really weird interactions, like assuming I was referring to an address in Illinois even if input manually)

0 stars for new app update. It's so situational I have to be in a bad position to use it. Might as well use google maps it's better

It doesn't work well on Android. When I use the "Where are you going" search it always says "an error has occurred". Buggy, but functional if you know how to get around the kinks.

It dont show bus stops anymore and you have to type in the stop number to see times of bus times and its very slow and dont show the stops you type in and you still have to search through a good number of stops to find the 1 stop typed in extra slow and not at all the same

This app is very helpful when using the bus system, but it needs major work done. Sometimes buses that are incoming disappear, leaving me at a station for way longer than I want to be. I also can no longer type in a destination when planning a ride and have search results come up. There is just an error message that shows up. Glitch issues as well.

This app needs a track my ride feature, similar to tracking your Uber, so we can see how long it will ACTUALLY be before the bus will arrive. Because the bus does not ever come at the time stated by the app.

* Access real-time GRTC bus tracker information. Don't miss your next bus. This app will provide the estimated arrival times of buses approaching your stop. It also allows you to see the location of buses on a map, so that you can visually track it as it approaches. You also have the ability to store your favorite stops and routes.

* Locate nearby bus stops.

* Receive current service updates through service bulletins. Instantly you will receive which routes are being detoured, stops closed or if GRTC will be operating under a different schedule during a holiday or inclement weather.

* View fare information.

* Submit comments and suggestions regarding your transit experience. GRTC welcomes feedback from its customers. Use the app to submit your complaints, concerns, comments and suggestions or if you would like to report a safety issue.

* Access important GRTC contact telephone numbers. Here you will find a list of important GRTC numbers you can use for trip-planning questions, lost items on transit, or transit concerns.

• A note about reroutes
If a bus goes off its regular route, our system will no longer be able to predict accurate arrival times. It will not be able to automatically predict when it will return to normal service. And, it may not be able to show the bus on our map. Please check for service alerts.
