The camera quality is good but connecting to the app and the quality once transferred is garbage

READ THIS REVIEW IT WILL SOLVE FRUSTRATION. The camera is excellent and has been used in many applications. The app on the other hand is almost absolute garbage because of the WIFI. To solve this issue, disconnect your mobile data, but keep your wifi connection open. Should connect right away. Such terrible integration, but after this camera and app started working well. Almost a write off but can gladly now use it.

I was worried based on all the negative reviews but I followed the instructions and it worked 1st time for me on Samsung A8. Took a few seconds for me to work out that once in capture screen you click the camera or video to actually capture. Clearly, once you are on the network to your camera you will no longer be on the network you were on previously. Also, if you say exit WiFi on camera the WiFi link is severed as expected. All good so far at least. hope this helps someone.

Dont lose hope of the Safari 3 or 4. These cameras are super awesome. The batteries and case and accessories all share with the gopro 4,5,6,7. It's awesome! But!! Android users, do yourself a favor and download GoAction. My gf's iPhone uses Safari app perfectly. Android will not connect at all. (But you can connect usb and works great for reviewing and downloading files) This is where GoAction comes in. Your phone becomes a remote. You can do your slow motion, timers, remote monitoring, so much more. This app hasn't worked since an update back in early 2017. Tested on a pixel, Samsung s5, Samsung s7, pixel 3 xl.

Disable mobile data to gain wifi connection. A poster mentioned that the Go Action app was the one to use with the safari3 4k. I have used both and the key to connectivity seems to be disabling mobile data. The Safari connect 4 app does not offer any prompts when having issues connecting to wifi in setup. Go Action app offered the prompt. It seemes to solve the issue with both apps. Both apps are working on my Moto phone. Both lag but the settings are the trade-off. works so far.....

I was very confused with the WiFi thing when I first downloaded the app. To get WiFi to work you need to have the safari create it's own WiFi. It shows you how on the little instruction book. It's only a 4 star because it can get quite laggy and freeze at times.
