This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing My AEG Care on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. After the latest interface update, AutoDose and almost all the other app functions stopped working for my AEG L6FBN84GQ. Only starting the machine through the app works. Strangely enough, you can see the app update its settings when you press the buttons on the washing machine, but not the other way around. What a shame. It worked fine before! Why break it?

Its a disaster to connect to a washer. I entered the correct passphrase for my WiFi (copy & paste) but nothing happens on the washer. So made a less secure WiFi SSID with simple passphrase (only numbers) and did exactly the same and suddenly i saw the washer connect to wifi within seconds. As i now knew what to to do i retried my secure WiFi but still no response from the washer. My passphrase of my secure WiFi is in compliance with the WiFi standard 802.11i. So to use the app i need a less secure WiFi passphrase or use mac filtering. Just because AEG can't implement a standard that's around since 2004. To complete the registration i have to be on the same network as the device so if you have separate networks for 2.4 or 5 Ghz WiFi it also makes problems. If i later want to change my WiFi on my washer the system treats this as a complete new registration. Personally I'm asking myself why this is not implemented properly by AEG.

Useless. Lots of hustle to create account, badly organised, no practical added value. I use it with washing machine and not even end of wash notifications are working flawlessly.

Just says "Error - Registration Error" and won't go any further. Gives no clue what the error is. Utterly useless

Out of 10 remote actions I'm lucky if 1-2 actions are executed and bot getting the Error occured...

Did not receive activation email so can't log in. Can't retry because my email has already been used to create an account
