I had high hopes for this app as we started our walking tour of Boston's Freedom Trail based on the free demo. But after the first couple of stops I realized that my $7 was pretty much wasted. The narrations were pretty superficial with no guidance or segues between stops. The map view was less than helpful as I could never clearly see my own location. Another tourist showed us the free National Park Service app, which, though it has no narration, is probably just as helpful.

Someone complained that this was not free and rated it 1 star. The tour was well worth the price. I had a great time doing the trail and this app was a big part of that.

We used this app for the Freedom Trail and Harvard Tours. It worked flawlessly and made our trip to Boston for our 20th Anniversary!! The prices are well worth paying for the tours. Don't listen to the complaints about having to pay. The developers of this app have earned every penny!

Enjoyable, easy way to do the Freedom Trail without having to follow a tour guide, walk at our own pace.

I rarely buy apps, but I'm very glad I got this one. It was very easy to walk the trail at our own pace, and there were many places to take a food or beverage break, especially during the first portion. My only nit would be that the map had difficulty orienting at times, and also that my feet are sore from all the walking. This was $4 well spent!

Really enjoyed the harbor walking tour and am looking forward to the Freedom Trail tomorrow! The app is well designed with easy push button navigation directly through Google Maps. The tours themselves are filled with interesting facts. Relatively cheap, too, at about $2.99 per tour. Thank you very much!

“I did not know a lot about the American revolutionary war and without overwhelming me, it brought the events of the time to life for me”

"The freedom trail tour was great. Wife and I shared a pair of wireless earbuds which I recommend. The tour is broken into many small sections which automatically stayed as we walked to the next point on the trail. All based on gps location. It all worked perfectly, was extremely easy to use and very informative. Very cheap for a guided tour. Highly recommend”
