The NFT hydroponics technique uses an artificial trench made of thin, rust-thin metal slabs, and plants seeded in the trench. Around the ditch channel is drained nutritious mineral water so that around the plant will form a thin layer used as plant food. The trenches are made with very thin water streams so that it is enough to pass through the roots and cause a layer of nutrients around the roots and there is enough oxygen for the plants.
