Installation Instructions

This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing AR EscapeRoom Puzzle: Perspectives on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.
  2. Install BlueStacks by visiting http://bluestacks.com.
  3. Open the APK/XAPK file by double-clicking it. This action will launch BlueStacks and begin the application's installation. If the APK file does not automatically open with BlueStacks, right-click on it and select 'Open with...', then navigate to BlueStacks. Alternatively, you can drag-and-drop the APK file onto the BlueStacks home screen.

The Perspectives AR riddle by RiddleFactory makes use of the unique qualities of Augmented Reality.
All you need is a phone with our app and a printet version of our AR-marker which you can download here:

and you have a new exciting riddle for your escape room.

How it works:
When the AR-marker is within sight of the smartphone camera a 3D-landscape of wooden bricks will appear. At first glance the bricks seems randomly arranged, but as your players investigate the 3D-environment and shift perspectives they will find that the bricks are arranged in such a way that a secret message will appear viewing the landscape from the right angle and perspective.

How to implement the Perspectives Riddle in your escape room:
When you have installed the app and printed the AR-marker, the 3D-landscape will automatic appear whenever the AR-maker is within sight of the smartphone camera and the app is open. The 3D-landscape will appear on top of the AR-maker being fixed to the AR-makers position in the room. You can place the AR-maker wherever you want in your escape room, making the discovery of the AR-marker a part of the puzzle.

The 3D-landscape will automatically scale to the size of the AR-maker, so if you want a bigger or smaller version of the puzzle, all you have to do is print a bigger or smaller AR-maker to customize it for your needs.

We recommend using the android function screen pinning so your players can’t exit the app doing the game. We also recommend placing the AR-maker in a well lit area of your Escape Room. Augmented Reality is relaint on the phones camera, so the better lightning the better the AR puzzle solving experience will feel.
