Bought the timer last year and never got around to using it. Tried recently and cannot get the app to stay open. Enabled all permissions, paired the timer, restarted device, cleared app data, reinstalled, etc and nothing fixes it. Apparently there's a reason nobody else has made a device like this. IF YOU'RE BUYING THIS TIMER, TRY IT OUT IMMEDIATELY TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE RETURN PERIOD.

I don't understand why the app needs permission to track location, or my phone's mic. Bluetooth alone should be enough to connect to the device, not location. If I'm using the mic from the $80 Rangetech device, why does it need to use my phone's mic? Shouldn't I just return it and use an app at that point?

Works on an old iphone 5s I have laying around that has no cell service. Tried on multiple samsung devices including my note 8 and will not connect, just crashes. I was going to be happy and try it with the iphone but I bought the bluetooth timer specifically to use with my android phone. Will test the app and see how it performs.

Same as the other guy. App won't stay on. Doesn't connect to timer...... just an update. I tried the app again and it still won't connect/show the timer has any connection. Works on my girlfriends iPhone though. Pretty much worthless on Samsung galaxy s10. As of 5/23/20.

Good once permissions are figured out. You have to allow all 3, it doesn't ask you. Go to app info and add each permission in order for it to work. I couldn't figure out why the phone could add it via BT but the app can't see it.

So far the experience is one of frustration. Note 10 phone says its connected to device. App doesn't show any connection, so there is no way to use it.
