About this app

The Moroccan football team (in Arabic: منتخب المغرب لكرة القدم), dubbed the "Atlas Lions" in reference to the lions who lived in the Atlas until the twentieth century, is the national team that represents the Morocco in international men's football competitions.
. The Moroccan team has participated in 19 final rounds of the African Nations Cup of Nations, but won only one in 1976, coming in the final in 2004 and ranked third in 1980. It is considered one of the best African teams after being ranked 10th in the international ranking in April 1998 which is a feat for an African team. It is also the only African team to be ranked first in the African standings for three years in a row between 1997 and 1999. At the world level, the team participated in 5 finals of the World Cup football, its best result being in 1986 when it reaches the round of 16 and loses 0-1 against Germany.
The Royal Moroccan Football Federation has unveiled a list of 27 "Atlas Lions" pre-selected by French coach Hervé Renards for the 2019 African Nations Cup in Egypt.
