He now has more than 73.3 million TikTok followers, 24.5 million Instagram followers, 5.86 million YouTube subscribers, and 3.4 million Twitter followers. He became the most followed account in TikTok, surpassing the most widely followed individual, Loren Gray, on March 25, 2020.

In 2019, former Sony Music executive Barbara Jones signed D'Amelio to her management company, Outshine Talent. In January 2020, D'Amelio signed a contract with a UTA talent agency. He appeared in a Super Bowl ad for Sabra Hummus along with other celebrities. He was invited to attend the Super Bowl LIV and meet Jennifer Lopez to create the TikTok challenge "J Lo Super Bowl Challenge." In January 2020, D'Amelio was labeled "queen of ruling" TikTok by the New York Times.

He is part of the collaborative TikTok content house known as "House of Hype" along with 18 others including his sister, Dixie D'Amelio. In May 2020, a representative for D'Amelios confirmed to The Hollywood Reporter that he and his sister had left the Hype House after that it became more of a business than something pleasant.

He performed dances at the 2020 NBA All-Star Game, performed with fellow Hype House members and creator of the dance "Renegade", Jalaiah Harmon. On March 27, 2020, D'Amelio collaborated on YouTube with actor Noah Schnapp. In May 2020, he and his sister announced a new podcast agreement with Ramble Podcast Network, which would offer a behind-the-scenes look at their lives and specific topics in their minds. In May 2020, the Hollywood Reporter called it "the biggest star" TikTok.
