About this app

Kirigami is a variation of origami craft that allows cutting paper, and not only fold paper like origami, but it usually doesn't use glue or even without glue. In the United States, the term "Kirigami" was created by Florence Temko, from "left" which means cut and "we" which means paper, in releasing a book title, Kirigami, Creative Art of Papercutting, 1962. This book was very successful in the market at that time. that the word kirigami is accepted as a western name for the art of paper cutting.

At the beginning of the process, we always started with a fold of origami, which then folds and then cuts and then flattens to make a mixture. Simple Kirigami is symmetrical, like the shape of snowflakes, pentagrams, or orchids. The difference between Kirigami and the full-time crafting and making an opening structure of 180 degrees, was that Kirigami was a piece of paper which was then cut. This craft requires patience and focus in making it because it will be quite fatal, such as snowflakes and if they are advanced, they will continue to make a building structure.
