It works wonderfully for what I need it for. But there is 2 problems I discovered. One i couldn't link it to my google drive (unverified by google?) And 2 I couldn't upload a screenshot for the bug report. I would also like it if I could import my own .obj file so I can see what I'm getting into. Other than that I really appreciate the hard work put into this, and I look forward to future updates! Im on a Samsung s20+ if thats important to you guys.

4k export crashes my Samsung Galaxy 10s + very often with out saving the original image... It seems that 2048 works very well! Exported 23 textures to unity 3d kinda slow and manual but I noticed one of the high maps got set to full white(might have swamped apps) low memory mode did not help with k4 export. Would love to see the settings menu before I take a picture just seems like a scope thing... Keep at it and buy yourself a beer.

The potential is great, just needs more optimizing I'm giving it 3 stars because it crashes way too often on 4k I instantly bought it because it's so epic and wherever I go I'm using it but it's heating up the phone way too fast and crashes alot with me I'm on Huawei prime y7 2018, It deserves 5 stars but only when it's truly optimized, honestly I can't wait so please work on it whenever you can, you're doing a great job with this!

just download it and gave it a quick test, and it looks pretty great really. for sure would give it good use. on the complain side: I have a low spectrum phone, a redmi A5, and it drags... if there was possible to low the detail or optimize it would be outstanding. I understand is asking too much and to be expected to have a good device to play with this, but that just happens. other than that just great, thank you!

Oh i have been looking for something like this! Awesome app. Create tiled textures on the fly. My Pixel 2 saves it correctly, have option for uploading to google drive, and emailing to yourself (pending you have at least two different emails under your account). You can visually test your materials, two-finger zoom in and out, even move the test light by rotating the ring on the stand... very impressed, and grateful. Thank you.

Does a similar job to desktop apps like Crazybump, but the huge advantage of being on the go - this is great for lining up repeating patterns (e.g. brickwork) for true seamless textures before you take the shot. Loses one star because upload to Google Drive appears to be broken. Manually sharing to Google Drive does work. Edit: Upload to Google Drive now works (12th May 2019)

About this app

'Live Normal' is used to gather a seamless photographic material library on the go.

You take a photo, and this tool creates a tile-able texture and generates texture maps ready for a PBR engine of your choice.

Live Normal generates a: Diffuse(Albedo), Normal, Metallic, Displacement and Occlusion map.

These textures can then be uploaded to Google Drive to be further manipulated or used on your workstation.

- You can access your textures via USB or Google Drive.

- Have fun and try to experiment. This makes hand painted textures a breeze.

Please note: This app uses complex tricks to achieve these results on a mobile device. Newer devices will perform these task better.
