This article outlines two straightforward methods for installing Te Araroa - The Trail App on PC Windows and Mac.

Using BlueStacks

  1. Download the APK/XAPK file from this page.

Great app. Easy to use with a great graphics map. Could do with a bit more detail. Sometimes so hard to find town names. Maybe a search function. Very useful information but again could do with a post from other trampers function. Like the alerts function. Things to watch out for along the way in real time.

Useless. The 2022-23 official maps and notes for TA have been out for some weeks but this site has not been updated and is in some cases dangerously out of date. I'm advise by TA that it is Google who is causing this delay. Very irresponsible of whoever is causing this delay putting lives at risk
