About this app

We just added my favorite font, American Typewriter, to our font options so I was excited to create a project with it. Since our wine cork K is one our most popular photos I thought the two would make a great pair. I've seen Several renditions of this project floating around and Decided I like the ones that have mainly the purple end of the cork facing forward.

Do not be shy about the size of the letter, go big! Smaller letters end up being overwhelmed by the corks, plus bigger letters leave more room to fit the corks naturally. And please, whatever you do, do not cut the corks to the make them fit. It just looks tacky. Either leave some of the wood exposed or go over the edge a little. I experienced both of Reviews those scenarios in this project and still love the end results.

Materials Needed:
1/2 "thick wood unpainted letter, I'm using a 22" tall "and" in the American Typewriter font in Baltic Birch. If you need help picking a font and size
Hot glue
A ton of corks, I used 357! If you need help growing your collection check with local restaurants or wine bars to see if they will save some for you.
